Design it, stitch it, and turn it into something you can actually use!
In this two-day workshop, students (ages 9β14) will create their own one-of-a-kind fabric using a mix of scraps, then transform it into a finished zipper pouch.
Weβll begin by designing and assembling a unique fabric panel, followed by learning foundational hand-sewing stitches to add detail, texture, and structure.
Between sessions, students will continue stitching their piece at homeβbuilding their skills, developing focus, and creating something meaningful with their hands. This at-home time is an important part of the process and encourages creativity away from screens.
On Day Two, weβll use sewing machines (with guidance) to construct and finish each studentβs pouch, including installing a zipper.
Students will:

All materials and tools will be provided, along with instruction and support throughout.
Each student will leave with a finished, functional pouch they can use for art supplies, school items, or personal treasures.
