Let’s explore stitching, texture, and creativityβ€”one thread at a time!

In this hands-on workshop, kids (ages 5–10) will be introduced to the basics of embroidery in a fun and approachable way. Using embroidery hoops, fabric, and large, age-appropriate needles with yarn, students will learn a few simple stitches and foundational techniquesβ€”no prior experience needed.

We’ll focus on core skills like stitching, connecting materials, and building simple designs, while keeping the process playful and low-pressure.

This is an open-ended, exploratory class where we’ll go beyond traditional embroideryβ€”incorporating found and textured materials like fabric scraps, felt, foam, and other objects to add dimension and creativity to each piece.

Students will:

Β Β Β Β β€’Β Β Β Β Practice attaching and layering different materials
Β Β Β Β β€’Β Β Β Β Experiment with texture and design

All materials and tools will be provided, with guidance and supervision throughout.

Each child will leave with a finished project to take home.
